Bio/Notes
Keitaro is a ronin, a student taking entrance exams to get into Toudai (Tokyo University). He is doing this because of a promise he made with a female childhood friend at the age of 3, that they would both get into Tokyo U. together. Shortly after making that promise, they were split up because her family had to move. Unfortunately, his exam results are less than superb, and he is always missing his chance to get in. His grandmother, the owner of Hinata Inn, calls him to come visit her. At the same time, Keitaro's grandmother decides to leave for a vaction, and make him the kanrinin, the manager of the inn. Keitaro shows up, not knowing that Hinata Inn is a women's dormitory. He ends up spending the series getting to know the girls of Hinata Inn, trying to find out who the girl is that he made the promise with, trying to improve his test scores to get into Tokyo U, and getting kicked around by Narusegawa Naru, one of the residents of the inn and fellow ronin.
